Museo archeologico nazionale dell'Alta Val d'Agri

The museum illustretes the history of the roman city of Grumentum and its region. A part of the exhibition is dedicated to the prehistoric age with the rests, among others, of the elephas antiquus (120.000 years ago). Another rappresentative section hosts archaeological findings of classic and hellenistic period and from the roman city of Grumentum.
