The European Heritage Days will once again take place in Italian museums and places of culture on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September, featuring guided tours, special initiatives and the opening of spaces usually closed to the public. Saturday there will be special evening openings with admission at the symbolic cost of 1 euro.
The theme of the 2018 edition, “The Art of Sharing”, recalls and develops the “Hyperconnected Museums”, promoted by ICOM for the 2018 International Museums Day and adopted by the Ministry for cultural heritage and activities on the occasion of the Museums Feast, with a view to building closer and more meaningful links between places of culture and the territories, the communities, the peoples they represent.
All the places of culture taking part, the many initiatives and additional details can be found in the calendar on the website www.beniculturali.it (page available in Italian) and on the European Heritage Days portal.
The official hashtags to follow and take part in the initiative in Italy are: #GEP2018 #artedicondividere #EuropeForCulture
